General

Designer Andreas Klippinge found inspiration for the Tamburin hook rack in the animal kingdom. Dolphins became the inspiration for the hook strip. When the hooks of the Tamburin rack are recessed they protrude above the wooden ledge, similar to the dorsal fin of a playful dolphin cutting through the surface of the water. The precise manufacturing technique and simple mechanical movement, on the other hand, are reminiscent of pinball machines. Like slot machines, you can hardly keep your hands off it – you feel the urge to pull the lever even if you don’t have anything to hang up at the moment.
